Engage Pickleball has granted all Islands Pickleball Association (IPA) members a 20% IPA club discount.

Engage Pickleball has a unique approach and incorporates innovation into every product they make.  They use ‘Applied Physics’ on every design to engineer and optimize the positioning of technology in relation to your hand and the point of contact.  They innovate and test different dimensions and material compositions on average every 7-10 days.  No other sporting goods manufacturer tests the boundries and invests as much in ‘Research and Development’ in relation to their revenue.

All the design, innovation and creativity (R&D) is done internally by their own engineers.  They work with suppliers and leaders in fabrication to design and come up with new components and processes to continue the development of making the best pickleball equipment the world has to offer. Why do they do all of this?  To produce the best products with the right balance, power, control and overall feel.  So you play the best you can.

In order to receive your 20% discount off everything ordered from Engage’s website, click on Engage Pickleball, select the item(s) you want to order and when “checking out”, you will need to enter the IPA discount code.  The discount code was sent to all IPA members in an email early in January 2024. You can also obtain the discount code directly from any IPA board member.

In addition, Engage is shipping three of their most popular paddles for IPA members to try out before purchasing.  The demo paddles will be available when we start in the spring.

The Islands Pickleball Association (IPA) has also established a Club Rewards account with Pickleball Central You will receive a 5% discount on anything you order when you use the IPA’s discount coupon code. Additionally, 5% of the purchase price goes into an IPA “club rewards fund” that accrues over the calendar year and is refunded back to the IPA as a gift certificate for the purchase of balls, nets or other equipment.

The IPA’s discount coupon code is CRIslands.  The code is not case sensitive.  When “checking out” on the Pickleball Central website, type in the discount coupon code, hit the “apply” button and you’ll see your total reduced by 5%.

Need a Beginner Paddle?

One of the questions which beginners always ask is “…Which paddle do you recommend for a beginner?…”. While there are more than 700 different pickleball paddle makes and models available, the Alpine Shop, Engage Pickleball, and Pickleball Central have a great selection of pickleball paddles for beginners. These paddles work great for beginners due to their cost-effectiveness (< $100), large sized face, large sweet spot and/or ideal weight. Some folks just are not ready to commit to an expensive paddle, so the IPA suggests you check out the paddles for beginners who just want to “dip their toes in the pickleball water” without jumping fully in. Whether you’re wanting a huge paddle face or just something affordable, you’ll find it at the Alpine Shop, Engage Pickleball and Pickleball Central.
