Food Drive for the Champlain Islands Food Shelf
The Champlain Island communities have greatly supported the IPA by allowing us to build 10 wonderful pickleball courts for our everyday use! Now it’s time for us to give back.

This summer the IPA is sponsoring a FOOD DRIVE for the Champlain Islands Food Shelf (CIFS). “The CIFS has seen a 40% increase in the number of people using the food shelf since last year. Your donations of food items and/or money will help to ensure the shelves stay stocked with healthy nutritious food for anyone in Grand Isle County.” CIFS Items in particular need are: canned chili, stews, beans, hearty soups, pasta sauce, tuna, boxed desserts, low sugar cereal, shampoo, toothpaste, dish and laundry soap, pet food, diapers, baby wipes, feminine hygiene products.
IPA will conduct a non-perishable food collection at the court parking lots on July 14th & 15th, August 15th & 16th, and September 8th-12th.
Anyone making a donation will get a raffle ticket for PICKLEBALL merch!!!! Woo hoo!!!
In the up-coming weeks, when you go to the market or Costco, please buy an extra case or several extra cans/boxes of non-perishable food or personal hygiene items!
Not a shopper, no worries, financial donations are welcome! Checks can be made payable to; Islands Pickleball Assoc., with a note on the memo line for CIFS, they will be collected by a volunteer at the courts on the above dates.
